Licensed as Novice in 1978 and now Extra, I always worked CW mode with some SSTV and PSK31. I do use a microphone (heh heh) on occassions. My Elmer gave me a Heathkit DX 40 and a vibroplex. I still have the vibroplex but not the DX40. My compliment of radios now include, K1, 516 (Argonaut V) IC706MKIIG (at QRP) Scout 555 (see pix) and several monoband rigs (Rockmite and Ten Tec 1340). I use a Carolina Windom antenna and plan to hoist up a tri-bander AND a 6 meter beam. For many years, QRP is my game. Been doing QRP for so long, it becomes natural. Member of ARCI QRP, Flying Pigs, FISTS, QCWA, NEQRP, NAQCC. Active on 20, 40 and 80 meters and during summer, 15 and 10 meters. I like "sprint-style" contesting including FISTS Sprints and other QRP 'tests when I can.
