I have been an amateur since 1974. I really enjoy the hobby, and am active on many bands/modes. See more of my stations & antennas at wb4iuy.net. You can also visit my personal website at 2Vulcans.net to see some of my other hobbies like R/C Airplanes, Motorcycles, Vintage Radio, and cars. I'm also thinning the workshop a bit for my 'Flex Fund', check out my hamfest at http://www.ipass.net/hockaday/

This is a pic of my primary operating position. Mostly old stuff, with a small bit of new sprinkled in along the way. I enjoy operating most modes 160-70cm. You can see more of my shack on the web at wb4iuy.net

Live Video

On the right are psudo live video feeds from cams around the shack, when I put them "on the air" from time to time. They're not always on, but check back and watch for them, as I do let them run quite a lot. It's a low bitrate feed with no audio, so it's easy on my internet service. It essentially snaps a pic every 30 seconds and updates my webpages automagically.

Currently, my home weather station has lost it's ability to upload data to my computer via USB, thanks to a local loghtning strike. It is an Oregon Scientific WMR-200. If anyone has a working base station for sale, please email me via my email listed here. Until my home station is replaced, I'm uploading the data from the www.RD-RC.org RC Airplane club flying field, where I've been a member since 1993, located less than 1 air mile from my home. The current weather data is seen below.

On the left is a poor pic of my tower. It's about 105' to the rotator, and built of Rohn 25 guyed at 100%. Stacked on top are a A3S, a Cushcraft 5 el 6m yagi, a 17b2 for 2ssb, a 17b2 for 2fm, and a Diamond dual bander on the top. The top guy wires are switchable 40m full slopers in 3 directions, and there are several fixed direction yagis along the length of the tower. Below is a shot of the top of my home, looking down from the top of the tower while doing a bit of tower work.

Looking down...

Below is pic I took from 115' on 8/9/2015 while standing on the 5el 6m yagi to do a bit of work on one of the 2m long boom yagis. I'm working on a solar powered remote wireless cam system for installation up here to enjoy the view of the countryside.
