My QTH is Pickens, South Carolina, and I have lived in this area all my life. I've been in and around ham radio most of my life and was greatly influenced and mentored by my oldest brother Lewis, K4RDL. My father's name was Ed and he was licensed as KN4SWB in the 50's and now my son Matthew now has dad's old call. My youngest brother, Lynn, is licensed as WN4JWQ. My daughter, Kathy, is licensed as KI4UZX and my nephew, Eddie, is KD4SMY. Unfortunately my wife never caught the "ham" bug but that's ok because she likes to work with our two horses Sissy and Blue and I enjoy helping her out at the farm. I was first licensed as a novice in 1967 with callsign WN4DPO but let it expire one year later. I started all over again in 1969 and received callsign WB4LZT. I currently operate mostly digital modes on HF and although I primarily work PSK-31 my preference is not to be tied down to just one mode. I try to use as many different modes as I can, including JT65-HF, which I enjoy very much. Member of The Anderson Radio Club, Inc. in Anderson, SC: http://andersonradioclub.com
