Click for more detail... They call me Mac. First licensed in January, 1974 as a General class. (WD5JRN) Re-licensed in 2006 as General and Extra class, and received call KI4QKX... what a tongue-twister! Vanity call change to WD4MP. Retired as a computer LAN Tech in December, 2006. Enjoy travel and exploration, airplanes and motorcycles, tools and tinkering, Bible study and just being a Christian. I'm Southern by birth, a Christian by choice, a conservative at the polls, and a red-neck who doesn't drink and won't tolerate foul language or racial prejudice... go figure. Located about 60 miles NNE of Atlanta, I operate a Yaesu FT-1000MP into a G5RV up about 70' (June '07 added a SB-201 for 500 watts RF output). A Icom IC-7000 in my F-250 diesel 4X4 drives a ham stick-type whip. A Yaesu FT-2800M provides VHF backup for the mobile operation, and of course, there's an HT, a Alinco DJ-G5 dual-band for portable ops. Enjoy 75, 40, and 20, and am a casual "paper chaser". Appreciate all who will acknowledge contacts with QSL cards... especially, new states and DX. Above all, let's keep ham radio clean, legal, civil, and sane. (By-the-way, the pic is dated 9-29-07... recording the completion of a 14K mile drive that included some long, rough, Alaskan back-roads, camping in areas where a man is NOT at the top of the food chain.) 73, Mac "choose you this day whom you will serve...
