I was licensed in 1977 as WD8NVN... Between the years 1977 and 1984 I did not  accomplish anything remarkable... Between the years 1984 and 2001, I still maintained the WD8NVN license, however, dropped-out of ham radio completely due to lack of interest... 2001 was the year when several factors came together renewing my interest in amateur radio... At that point in time I decided to embark on achieving something  serious with amateur radio, or just forget about radio and let the license expire...  Serious I am and in 2003, I achieved DXCC and now with 326 confirmed DXCC countries and in the ARRL DXCC Challenge !!!

I try to always advise new people in amateur radio the  need to start working very hard to determine what aspect of ham radio fascinates; there is something for everyone... About 90 percent of U.S. ham radio licenses and most good vanity callsigns go to waste... ( "Get Busy or Get Out." )

The WD8NVN station is set-up for serious DXing and local 2 meter operation.

Have a Good Day...
