NOTE: Using eQSL (Authenticity Guaranteed AG) and LOTW makes it easier to work DXCC, WAZ, WPX, Field and other awards - How can you work Counties Award without eQSL?  Send 500 QSL Cards?? - It's a HOBBY - Use them ALL.  Simply delete any eQSLs that aren't in your log. With modern logging software - it's usually a few clicks and done for both. Also, IOTA # needs to be printed on your card with the island as stated at rsgbiota.org - comparing your cordinates helps - 73!

I ALWAYS ENJOY QSL CARDS IN THE MAIL AND I STARTED COLLECTING STAMPS

I’m enjoying my new hobby… Amateur Radio, which I have the impression will be a life long experience.

My background is computers and the Internet. I received my Technician license in November 2011 and ran from there. I enjoy learning about ham radio. I had no idea it was so vast and complex - always learning something. I enjoy working IOTAs, DXCC, LP DX, Contesting, Chatting, Digital, CW, QSL Cards - just about everything.

MY EQUIPMENT

Kenwood TS-570 & Yaesu 897D
Ameriton AL-811H
/ Palstar AT2K Tuner / SignaLink USB / CN-801 HP Meter
K4KIO Hex Beam 6, 10, 12, 15, 17, 20M / Arrow Antenna OSJ 140/440, 40, 80 & 160M Dipole & Beverage

Hex Beam on the roof approximately 230 feet above sea level. Great South Long Path. 3 Dipoles run in front and behind, supported by a 35ft mast. My QTH.. that I share with my daughter (tiffany blue + pink - you don't see that often!)

Dipoles beaming about E to W.

Everyone is your friend when you have a good day on the water! Nothing beats Sashimi, Wasabi and Cold Beer!!!

300lb of Ahi (Yellow Fin Tuna) in 60+ gallon zip lock bags.. Fishing off the North Side of Molokai (2000ft cliffs) on a calm day.

Politics aside - Pres. Bush was someone you could really enjoy spending time with. Family having fun in Utah.

Hiking behind the house on the hill that blocks my path to N. America (NE), 600ft high. Diamond Head and Waikiki in the backgound.

My Emergency Backup Power running off a 48V Golf Cart Battery System when connected (3-240W Solar Panels, 1500W Pure Sine Wave Inverter, Tristar MPPT-45 Charger, Tri-Metric TM-2025A Meter and various breakers. I have other inverters and deep cycle batteries if needed. If someone were to take something like this and design it like a hard golf bag - they'd be on to something.
