Aloha from Honolulu!
My background is computers and the Internet. I received my Technician license in November 2011 and ran from there. I enjoy learning about ham radio. I had no idea it was so vast and complex - always learning something. Note: Just starting playing with RTTY very cool! Reminds me of my old computer days.
MY EQUIPMENT
Hex Beam on the roof approximately 230 feet above sea level. Great South Long Path. 3 Dipoles run in front and behind, supported by a 35ft pipe. My QTH that I share with my daughter (tiffany blue + pink - you don't see that often!)
Dipoles beaming about E to W. I wish I could run some cable on top of that mountain. I'd point it right at N. America.
Everyone is your friend when you have a good day on the water! Nothing beats Sashimi, Wasabi and Cold Beer!!!
300lb of Ahi (Yellow Fin Tuna) in 60+ gallon zip lock bags Fishing off the North Side of Molokai (2000ft cliffs) on a calm day.
Politics aside - Pres. Bush was someone you could really enjoy spending time with. Family having fun in Utah.
Hiking behind the house on the hill that blocks my path to N. America (NE), 600ft high. Diamond Head and Waikiki in the backgound.
NEED A LAUGH? Triump the Insult Dog does Hawaii's Weather Report. :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-TfZslHKoo
Herman Munster gets on the air! :-)
