Amateur Operator Since 1984 Main Amateur Interests 2M EME and MS (WSJT)

Future Plans include 432 EME
and resurrecting the old 50 MHz thru 10 GHz contest station.

OCCUPATION Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

Recently Relocated to Chico Texas so I am QRV on 6, 2 and 432 from the temporary hamshack with low power and small yagis on a short temporary tower.

I have also been active on 6 and 2 meters from my portable station on FSK441 Meteor Scatter and have helped fill in some of the empty grid squares on a lot of operators VUCC maps.

The portable setup is a Yaesu FT897 running barefoot with M2 2M and 6M loop antennas. When I am out doing grid expeditions I use a 2M9SSB 9 element yagi mounted 6 feet above the pickup bed and a 6M full wave loop in a diamond configuration. I will add a 432 11 element yagi and a taller portable mast soon.

If  you need a grid in this area on 6 or 2 (especially on WSJT meteor scatter or JT65) send me an email with a list of what you need and I will email back when I am going to be active from those areas.  I go out to West Texas and up into Oklahoma from time to time so a lot of those grids are a possibility.

Check out my VUCC grid maps below. If you can fill in a grid a email and sked would be appreciated on any mode.

All QSOs are logged and I will promptly upload the to LOTW. I also answer all QSLs NO SASE is required but it is appreciated. I do update EQSL on a regular basis but not as often as LOTW.

I am currently in the process of  building the new shack and getting towers in place so I will be QRV on the bands and EME soon.

Hope to see all of you soon on the bands!
