My name is Bob Carter. 62 years old as of December of 2008. Born, raised and currently residing in Utah. Also lived in Alaska, Louisiana and Texas. Retired. Work history: Computer programmer for BlueCross BlueShield, Alyeska Pipeline and ARCO Oil and Gas Company. Past president of the Utah Association of Woodturners.

I started into ham radio in 2006, as my father (age 93) W7JUE said he was getting out...

I passed my Tech, General and CW, the end of May 2006 (KE7HYR) and then start seriously practicing code. Got my Extra in May 2007 (WR7Q).

I only do CW on HF. Am working on DXCC...so let's get helping me!!

I currently have an K3 Elecraft 100 watts, going thru an Astron 35a amp providing up to 500 watts. Palstar BT1500A tuner. Antenna is a 660 foot Loop Skywire, up about 25 feet, stretched out the back yard, across a canal and into two large trees in the neighbors field.

My CW is now about 20 wpm. I just started QSO's in November 2008. I am mostly on 40, but have worked 20, 80 and 160.

I appreciate your QSL's.  I also log all QSO's into Logbook of The World (LoTW) at ARRL.
