Maine 2 Meter FM Simplex Challenge

Maine QSO Party

The Radiogram

WS1SM is the club station of the Wireless Society of Southern Maine, which was founded in 2010 by a group of hams who met weekly at the Wassamki Springs Campground, in Scarborough, Maine.

If you have a moment, please stop by our website to see what our club is up to, and what we have planned. Chances are, if you stopped here, you worked us on the air during one of our many club activities. Please note the QSL instructions below to find out how to get one of our QSL cards.

If you’re in the Portland, Maine area, check us out at a local meeting and see how much fun we’re having in person! In addition to our monthly meeting, we try to have at least one activity each month—another good opportunity to find us. If you like what you see, then the next step is to join us!

We’ve got members from as far away as Romania and we welcome all radio amateurs and those interested in becoming hams to join our group.

Some of our club events include the 2 Meter FM Simplex Challenge, which takes place in February, the Maine QSO Party, and operating activities at various locations throughout the year. We also offer some interesting awards. Click on the buttons to learn more.

WS1SM QSL’s 100% all contacts and SWL’s if accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope for state-side contacts, and return postage equal to 1.00 USD in any currency for contacts outside of North America. Please send QSL requests to our QSL manager: Thom Watson, 16 Hope Drive, Gorham, ME 04038 USA for direct. Also okay via bureau.
