Hello Friends, Mac here, thanks for looking me up.
Once again a few operators from across the US are going to the Eastern Caribbean for some (more) "holiday-style" DXpeditioning!
We will arrive on Martinique (FM) on Saturday October 29th and operate there for a week. Leave Martinique on November 4th and ferry over to St. Lucia (J6) to operate once more from the Chateau Devaux on the north end of that wonderful island! On Martinique I will be using FM/WT4BT, on St. Lucia I will be J68MT.
See my FM/WT4BT and J68MT QRZ pages for QSL routes and all other information.
Home QTH is on the southern end of the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee. Running a TS-590s barefoot, or QRP as the mood dictates. Feeding a GAP Challenger DX and various Buddipoles, plus a few wires tossed into the trees. Still working on a proper shack, but other tasks are taking priority. Right now I'm in my closet-under-the-stairs, snug but sometimes a bit warm. Will be out portable as time permits with FT857D or IC-703+ and a Buddipole, plus occasional stationary-mobile ops (TS-480SAT into Lil Tarheel on Jeep Wrangler) when waiting for my XYL at various appoinments.
I operate with the name 'MAC' since Barclay is too easily misunderstood or misspelt. That's the dubious benefit of having three surnames at my disposal, I suppose.
Last year I returned from the north end of the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia (J6) on 2015/11/14. Callsign was J6/WT4BT and it is on its own QRZ page. We had an absolute ball once again! Custom QSL cards have been mailed. All QSOs have been logged on LoTW as well, and now ClubLog.
Hope to hear you on the bands !!
Try to learn something new every day, it helps make life more enjoyable!
