Hello. My name is Jim. I am the former Putnam County, New York RACES Radio Officer, ARRL Emergency Coordinator for Putnam County and President of the local Putnam County DX Club (W2NY). Additionally, I am a member of PEARL (Putnam Emergency Amateur Repeater League) and the Hudson Valley Contesters & DXers Club. I also serve as one of the ARRL Hudson Division's DXCC Card Checkers and an ARRL VE.

Most of my operating time is conducted from my station in Putnam County. However, you may hear operating as WT4Q/p from my cabin in the Catskill Mountains, located in Greene County, New York. Also, you will hear me chasing DX and operating in many contests.

In my spare time, I work as a Director at the Orange and Rockland Utility Company and have 36 years of experience in the electric and gas utility field both at O&R and the Con Edison Company of New York. I have been able to convince both companies of the benefits Amateur Radio can provide during an emergency. We have installed radio equipment in both companies that can be used by local RACES members during emergency events. In addition, I have made presentations to other utilities to start similar programs within the areas they serve.

I believe Utilities and Amateur Operators can actually work together for our mutual benefit.

I QSL 100% - If you are sending QSLs through the Bureau, please send them VIA W2NY - TNX es 73, Jim
