Hi there from southeast Michigan......Most call me Jim which is my middle name. My station set up is the Kenwood TS930s and the TS2000 both of which I really enjoy using. My top rig is the Icom 756PRO3 for contesting and rag- chewing on the HF bands. The antennas are SteppIR 3 element Yagi w/ 40m-30m dipole kit, Cushcraft A505S 5 element 6 meter beam, Cushcraft 14820T 20 element cross beam, Comet GP9 vertical 144-440, W5GI Multiband Dipole with 3 half wave in phase collinear wire array. These antennas are on a Heights tower between 55 and 70 feet. For those pile ups I use the Ameritron AL-80B amplifier to help get over the top. My favorate bands are 40m, 20m, and 17m, and not to forget about 6 meters which is tons of fun. I love to rag-chew and work DX when the bands are open. The new age is here and I'm trying to keep with the new times, learning from new amateurs all the time, hihi. Using the Dell computer to track and look up new calls. Where were computers back 25 years ago, eh? Oh yeah, didn't want to forget about the Rotten Apple Group and the WB2JKJ Class Room net at the core of the Big Apple from the Radio Club of Junior High School 22. You can catch me there on 7.238 in the mornings (6-8:30am est).
