Hi Old man, My name is Dani, born in May 15, 1963 in a small city in Gombong, Central Java, Indonesia My first call sign was YD2DVM, that I got in early 1982,it's a first degree call sign from ORARI, that only allowed to transmit in 80m band AM and 2 m band FM. In June 1982, I passed the graduation Amateur exams so my call sign changed to YC2DVM,and I had a right to transmit in 80m, 40m, 15m band, I'd collect many-many QSL card from around the world, at least 180's qsl card. I've been staying in Kebumen City, a small city about 100 km west direction from Yogyakarta.
Due to totally burned all of my house, bussiness place and equipment in September 1998, during the devastatic riots in Kebumen, I stopped transmit. During that difficult period, I forgot to extend my amateur radio license, so my previous call sign automatically expired and used by other person. It's very pitty to me and all was my fault. But my amateur radio adrenalin was still retain in my heart, until mid 2003, I tried to re register my expired call sign, but under new call sign YC2TJV. Many thanks to YC2SKJ who helped me to register the new call sign in 2003, also thanks to YC2BMV who remind me that HF is not dead, hi hi. so here I am, I'm back old man, this is YC2TJV ex YC2DVM. C u on dx!!!!!
