I have different accounts for each variation of my callsign (YO2MSB, YO2MSB/QRP, DL/YO2MSB/P, etc.). So please log your QSO's with me to the EXACT callsign you hear on frequency during our QSO, because otherwise I won't be able to confirm it. I've already received a lot of requests in error during the last period. Thank you!

NEWS:

Paper QSL's completed up to 1st of January, 2016. Will be distributed @ Friedrichshafen Ham Radio 2016.

Romanian QRP Party 2016: first edition made on 06/02/2016 in a location near Turda, together with a group of QRP operators. Activated with the following special callsigns: YP80QRP, YP40QRP, YP15QRP as a multiplier SES.

SOTA @ Rosia Montana: two summits (YO/WC-208 Varsii Mari & YO/WC-135 Magura) worked on 07/11/2015 near Rosia Poieni, where you could find the biggest man-made hole in Europe (copper mine) and the scariest cyanide lake (copper extraction). VERY sad sightseeings: human brutal intervention vs. nature's perfection.

Vladeasa 2015 SOTA Tour: performed on 03/10/2015 together with Denis YO5DSG & Mircea YO5FYI from YO5KDS Cafe Gratis Radioclub. Worked YO/WC-002 Vladeasa, YO/WC-043 Tarnita & YO/WC-044 Varfurasu.

/P from Italy: between 04/09/2015 and 12/09/2015 I was QRV from NE Italy, performing some SOTA activations (I/VE-309 Monte Cesen) and evening /P beach activations from Lignano Riviera.

YO SOTA Marathon 2015: between 10/08/2015 and 15/08/2015 I was QRV from a list of summits located in the Middle Carpathians. The team was made from the following SOTA activators: HB9DST, K2XYL, PB2T, YO2BP, YO6HDF, YO6PIB, YO6PSX, YO8SEP, YO9IPF, YO9IRF. 6 days, 11 summits & 92 points.

YP10EURAO: during the year 2015 I was QRV also as YP10EURAO, together with my colleagues from ARR. This special callsign was issued for celebrating 10 years from the creation of EURAO.

First QRPp: made on 15/11/2014 with Ljubo 9A9DX - 100mW from an Alinco DX-SR8E in S-Low mode. 4.000km/W - not bad for the beginning.

3A/YO2MSB: Monte Carlo calling! Between 07 and 11 of September 2014 I was QRV in portable from Monte Carlo. Details here:  http://www.qrz.com/db/3A/YO2MSB

FIRST SOTA ACTIVATION EVER IN YU: made by me & YO2BP on 22/08/2014 near Vrsac, very close to the border with YO. Two summits activated: YU/VO-001 Guduricki Vrh & YU/VO-002 Vrsacki Vrh.

About me:

  • I am NOT a contest-man, I am NOT running for various awards, I enjoy exchanging QSL cards but NOT enjoy paying for them with "small contributions".
  • I like DX-ing, QRP-made QSO's, SOTA & portable activations, testing various ham radio equipments, constructing and calibrating antennas, and I am looking for more than "59 - 73" QSO's.
  • If you share my vision, let's make beautiful QSO's together, we deserve this.

  • Born in 1970 in the middle of the legendary Transsylvania, in the city of Targu Mures;
  • Since 1989 relocated in Timisoara, where I live today;
  • SWL since 1981 when I built my first antenna;
  • Ham Radio licensed starting from November 2010, after 15 years of wishes to do this;
  • Romania's representative at EURAO starting from 2015;
