my Moxon 20m band above the roof.
TS-590S possible solution. modification.
everything so far on the internet, there is no qualification as to what set.
little power of speech causes very bad DSP module
too pep speech SSB signal, causing extreme response ALC cicuit
is reflected in the output, and the average modulation.
I dot not have open source software for use DSP module, so that further research can not support any changes in the operation of the module.
even this, relation management hardware SSB TX mode does not work (ALCS does not support the MCU to ssb/am mode) described in Service Instruction.
This problem might be able to Kenwood to resolve until that happens the only solution is published in the figure below
These are the two anti-parallel Schottky diode, placed in parallel with connector CN-700
Good luck from YT1ET !
Another nice modification of the TS-590, to contain a circuit that does not work, it can be activated by setting the switch on the back of the radio when you get to the ssb ,should incorporate the possibility of the withdrawal of the pin 5 with IC-802 to GND, on the way to activate ssb constant for ssb mode,She had been anticipated in the design of radio but not used Softwer is excluded. Multipexer IC-802 added to the existing 100k resistance parallel 1k this is a little too short to maintain the set power,I suggest that shifts the resistance of 10k for SSB emissions.
If you ever Softwer finally activate this option, we will have a good SSB transceiver on the show, for now we have to manually activate the switch.
73! YT1ET modification
certainly if you are skilled with a soldering iron, you can do the modification shown in an ALC circuit, but this will not work, because the ken abolished activation multiplexer support for SSB, and until spindle software support for SSB, we can only hand over activate with a switch modus is such that the switch connects to pin 5 in the IC-802 to GND, and it makes sense for this modification, I have set the grid to the back of the radio and manually turn on this mode.
looks like my current modifications.
AVG 65W power is not exactly, but the pep power line wattmeters 100wats,this was before the 75wats So now is the same as my old radio ts-850s 100wats pep ssb.
