First licensed in 1970 as YV5DRN, married, three daughters, four grandchildren, 40 years as radar, communications and electronics technician with the National Civil Aeronautics Authority; now I am retired. Work and family took me away from the hobby for a long time. Again active mostly in CW, I like to chase DX QRO. Some BPSK31, SSB 40/80 m rag chewing, VHF, UHF and Satellite activity. HF/6m rigs: IC-756PROIII and IC-7000 mainly for portable use. Amplifiers: Ameritron AL-572, solid state ALS-600S and upgraded Drake L4-B . FM VHF/UHF rigs: FT-8900R, IC-2100, VX-7R and AMCOMM 2M-15.
