Dear Friends:

Just yesterday I got my callsign so I'm trying to start with the right foot!!!. I am a Venezuelan Class "A" Ham, that means that I have access to certain bands only until I have enough QSL cards to prove I have contacted 75 countries!!!

I am using a YAESU FT-897d radio to an inverted "V" dipole on the top of an apartment building (100 ft tall more or less). I am the proud father of two wonderful kids husband to my dear XYL. and what more can I say.

I will be looking forward to meet you.

73 from Venezuela.

This is a picture of my dipole and a 2mt vertical antenna on the top of the mast.

My QSL card, proudly designed by my wife!!

Quick Update (21/12/2012):

It has been 4 months now since I got my license, i have met lots of wonderful people on the air, and it has been quite exciting. By now I have made about 500 QSO's (99 countries as of today) and my XYL designed a QSL card for me, I have already sent about a hundred, but I am using my holidays to catch up with the paperwork. (Just to let me know, I'd appreciate if you send me an email as soon as you get a QSL card from me, this way I can get the timing of our postal system).

I will be adding up another antenna to my station pretty soon (Cushcraft R8), probably next January it will be up and running!

73 cordiales a todos ustedes!

Teodoro
