Hey thanks for dropping by.

My name is Grant and I'm a new, somewhat casual operator who's been on the air since mid 2010. I'm still setting up the shack and antenna systems but at present I'm running an IC-7000 barefoot into a temporary 64% / 36% split, 41 metre home brewed OCF dipole at a towering 10 metres (33 feet - OK hold back the laughter). It's fed with LMR400 and has acceptable SWR at 80M, 40M, 20M, and 12M and can operate on 17M and 10M with a little "tuner assist".

Now working with the "CEO" to convince her of the aesthetic merits of a tower and an Optibeam yagi with a 12M boom in the back yard. It might be a long term plan.

I'll post some photos once I have a station more worthy.

Hope to catch you on air soon!
