My main interests are in HF, VHF/UHF, Satellites and Digital operations.
I am currently also active on 2m EME and 6m Terrestrial.
On HF I am active mostly on the Digital modes (RTTY, PSK and JT65A), SSB and CW.
Operating on 80m to 10m as propagation allows.
I enjoy participating in the CQ WW RTTY, SSB and CW contests.

The contact can last but a moment but the card is forever,
its the final courtesy and I enjoy receiving them.
I have a 100% QSL policy for all cards received - my current HF card is shown above.
Green Stamps or an IRC are not required to obtain my card.
It will however guarantee you will get an immediate reply.
* Cards received direct will normally be answered within 2-3 days of receipt of your card.
* All contacts are uploaded at least weekly to LoTW (Logbook of the World) and Clublog.
* Cards via the Buro also OK, but will be returned via the same route - expect delays.

Unfortunately it is so that some cards get opened by the postal workers looking for money,
so try not to put your or my callsign on the outside of the envelope. If you sent me a card
and you think its gone missing please drop mean email and I will post another.

Update : From 28th March 2013 to the 2nd April 2013 I will operate as ZS1LS/P
from a fishing cottage near the town of Stillbaai. The location is KF05PN.
The exact location on Google Earth is 34° 26' 09.00" S 21° 17' 27.00" E.
Operation is in all modes at using a FT-897D with some casual participation
in the CQ WPX SSB contest.  There is no internet access so Logs will been
uploaded to Clublog/LoTW afterwards.

The antenna has now been converted to a BigIR for operation on 40m-10m, planted on the beach.
You can just make out the green vertical of the old SmallIR above the rock in the forground.
The picture below is the view towards the south pole from the cottage.

Previous operations from KF05: 01 to 07 January 2013 (SmallIR 20m-10m).

I hope to hear you on the air soon - 73 for now!.
