Thank you for looking me up! I am a licenced radio amateur since 1983. It all started by playing with crystal sets while still at high school. From there I build a one transistor audio amp used the OC 71 transistor and a penlight battery!!!

I live in a small town called Despatch about 35Km N/West from Port Elizabeth on the South East Coast of South Africa. Addo National Park, where you can view the BIG 5, is about 18Km from my QTH.

My main interest is building electronic projects, repair valve linear HF amplifiers and playing around with wire antennas. Also love QRP.

I am a member of the South African Radio League. www.sarl.org.za

My club I belong to is Port Elizabeth Amateur Radio Sociaty in Port Elizabeth. www.zs2pe.co.za

My main rig is ICOM 746 PRO and antenna is a Hi-Gain TH3 Junior for 20 to 10M. Other antenna is home brew Trap Dipole for 80 and 40M and hombrew Trap Dipole for 12 and 17M bands.

My Hf Linear amplifier is a Transworld TW500A. Changed the cooling fan heat sensor from 60 Degree Celcius to 40 Degrees, for hours of fun !!

This not a hobby but a "Life Style"
