I am not very active at the moment : 20 May 2014

Qsl'ing No IRC ,please guys.

Negative I.R.C's : to many problemo's crying

CQ means any area in or out of 'Africa'

CQDX , means Outside SOUTH AFRICA. "no punt" intended!

QSL: DIRECT ONLY: I have never had a lost qsl card request ! i qsl 100%

prefered. 2GS and SASE. All qsl's i received,has been answered. ::::(Date ,11 April 2014)

I answers all qsl's.

The Old Radio Console and ...young at heart...

Hi All, i work any hf band, sometimes qrp, higher bands 4 element beam, 12m is 3 element beam, yes

I need lot of Africa stations still,so will look for Africa contacts from now onwards,,cw: QRS....."cw..., go slow ok"..12 wpm. I am not a fast cw GURU... and i dont use a skimmer, Hmmm , i would probably need that call at least 2 timesblushif ya going to fast.

160m band 1,810mhz to 1.836 cw.....( Yes we actually work some dx at times down here) (QRS pse) yes

80m dx window 3,790 to 3,799 ssb

i lookout for mobile and portable stations and enjoy working them.

I have many audio files working some rare 80m stations OX ,ZL..etc ,,and of course some 9+PLENTY,big guns too cheeky

I like 80m dx best of all, not easy from my qth, antennas for 80m is dipoles ,1/4 wave vertical and a 80m diamond loop but there is always a change in antenna testing. Some 80m Amplifiers here is homebrew, 4by 4*400 ,2by 4-1000,SB200, FL2100z, Gonset mk4, and station 550,to name a few amplifiers...i dont use tuners. if you read this i worked u or u heard me call, hope to work u some time again.

Latest edition is the TITAN-10 all band added.

...so the Old project is finished ,and painted,, 6m to 160m. let me introduce u to TITAN,he is 6 months old 1,8m tall and the Devil in disguise , primarily my top-band amp,but capable of ample power all around.

see the bone scull's.

Dont ask for details as this was a once off project and very time consuming,it does make the H2K look like a dwarf.

the colour scheme is 3 layer candyblue ,fine 2 ,in two tones with silver base ,white and black.(the tube ?why not red?) well ,,,white is hotter . devil

i Guess the word :"fire in the wire means something then"

--------------Update:09May2010 --------------

The Fury project is 100% finished,it uses the 4cx****a tubes.

hey,, this beast's fan sounds like a Spitfire...devilall for the fun boys, all for the fun.....

It resides in the Garage and i dont use it , too heavy cool. trips mains and melts coax'es...it does keep my coffee cup warm thoughwink

I build these Toys cause: I am to old for a Paper round, Too young for a Pension and to tired for an Affair.

........................................................................................................................................................................................

So i built a 813 GG too, just for fun i used hand tools, the only electric tool was the soldering iron.

I enjoy homebrewing... and like the 811a and 813 tubes, they rarely gives nasty suprizes, easy to work with and parts are cheap, with low ht voltages on the 811a's u still get 350 watts from 2, the 813's are winners, 2 will stack a kilowatt, and a quad pair...., oh well enough said...

Homebrew ....its Fun,

..............................................................BuBBles...............................................................

811a 200 watts.. This small lineer can run 2 of 811a= 350 watt or 572B tubes 600 wattsor a single 811a for 200 watts, 160m to 10 m band. Its a Junk parts lineer and did not cost a cent :)

Homebrew friends.... it's satisfying and keeps old age astray ..lol..

This station was inspected by ICASA on 21 September2009, QRO...worst case -36db 2nd harmonic and best at -67db down on 3rd harmonic frequencies.

Thanks for dropping by chaps c u on HF.
