Hi,
My name is Andreas Sonderegger. I was born in Switzerland on the 22nd of August 1947 and came to South Africa in 1976. I was working for a hydraulic company as an engineer for 36 years and recently retired. My hobbies are Ham Radio, collecting fire arms and driving a heavy BMW K1200 RS motorcycle.
My equipment is an Icom IC-781 with a FL7000 Linear. I also use an Icom IC - 751 with an IC - 2KL linear.
My antenna is a 3 eliment Stepp IR and a 6 eliment Log periodic, both on top of a 30m building with a flat roof, constructed with a lot of steel re-enforced concrete.

PLEASE NOTE: Kindly have patience when you hear me calling and try to speak slowly and as phonetically as possible as I’m completely deaf in the right ear and I have only about 20% hearing in the left ear. This translates to approximately 3000 - 3100 Hz maximum. Gladly this impairment does not stop me from practicing my hobby and I love DXing! You can see that by the number of look-ups on QRZ.
