I am in Norton, Ohio, which is just SW of Akron and about 40 miles South of Cleveland. I am interested in EmComm, chasing DX, contesting and public service. My XYL and my first harmonic have both gotten their Tech ticket, and we work public service events together.

My equipment includes a Yaesu Mk V Field feeding a vertical (Gap Titan DX) and an 80M Wire up 45 feet. To compensate for my modest antennas I have put a QRO amp online.

I mostly work CW and RTTY, and don't work phone much anymore unless it's a needed one!

I highly recommend DXLab software, which I use, and NBEMS digital messaging, which is now the recommended messaging software of Summit County ARES.

QSL info: I QSL 100 percent for all received cards. Contact via direct for domestic (SASE appreciated) and Bureau or Direct for DX. I also upload to LOTW. DX who want a buro card can email me at mycallsign dot arrl dot net to ensure a card via buro without waiting for your card to arrive.

Many thanks to those who have responded to my requests for QSL cards. I actually enjoy the ritual of preparing the mailings (the Dark Side of Ham radio), and the arrival of QSL's in the mail is just like Christmas for me.
