We decided to repeat 2012 the IOTA contest activity from Insua Island, EU-150,WLOTA LH 2869 and ARLHS-POR 028
Call sign will be CR6W and QSL via CS5DX

CR6W IOTA DXpedition (IOTA contest 2011)

EU-150 - Ilha Insua: Um grupo de operadores CT, DL e HB9 vãoestar QRV no concurso IOTA 2011 com o indicativo CR6W.
QSL via CS1GDX.As autorizações e licenças estão OK. Depois do concurso IOTA prevê-se que alguns operadores permaneçam mais alguns dias na Ilha Insua para o Farol referências WLOTALH 2869 e ARLHS POR 028.

EU-150 – INSUA ISLAND: A group of CT, DL and HB9 operators will be QRV in the IOTA contest 2011 as CR6W. QSL via CS1GDX. Landing permit and license are OK. After the IOTA contest it is planned that some operators stay some more days on Insua Island for the WLOTA lighthouse LH 2869 and ARLHS POR 028. CR6W IOTA DXpedition (IOTA contest 2010)

Operators Antonio/CU8AS, Arlindo/CT1EGW, Carlos/CT1END, João Rafael/CT1BOP, Luis/CT1EEQ, Luis/CT4NH and Hermann/HB9CRV will be active as CR6W from Insua Island during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th) as a Multi-Op/DXpedition entry.
They will run 100 watts and with the antenna limitations of one element per band, i.e. GPs or dipoles. QSL via CS1GDX.

This be a new WLOTA reference number: 2869. Look for some activity before the contest starting July 22st. Callsigns may be CT7/CT3FN/p or CT7/CU8AS/p and home call /P.

O Forte da Ínsua localiza-se na freguesia de Moledo, no Concelho de Caminha, Distrito de Viana do Castelo, em Portugal.

Ergue-se na Ínsua de Santo Isidro, ao Sul da foz do rio Minho, limite Norte do litoral português, a cerca de duzentos metros da costa.

O Farol da Ínsua, ou Farolim da Ínsua, é um farol português que está construído no baluarte NW do Forte da Ínsua, localizado numa pequena ilha na foz do Rio Minho, a Ínsua, na freguesia de Moledo, em Caminha, distrito de Viana do Castelo.

O Farol consiste num um edifício térreo quadrangular, onde está assente uma coluna metálica branca, com escada em caracol, que suporta uma pequena lanterna, alimentada a energia solar.
