Responsible DL1BFE DA0L is a club station callsign for the use on lighthouse expeditions, specially offshore, at the German coast, by the ham activity group "KBM", operated by DF3GL-Klaus, DL1BFE-Greg, DL3BJ-Uwe. DA0L was activated on lighthouse Rotersand, ARLHS FED-019, between September 6 and September 10, 2005, by DL1BFE. On ILLW 2006 we were lucky to reach and to activate the offshore LH "Robbenplate", ARLHS FED-198, in the mouth of the river Weser/Northsea. We had 490 QSOs on hf. From 14 to 17 May 2008 DL1BFE operated DA0L on LH "Rotersand" FED-19 again on 20 and 40 m. 217 QSOs, mostly in cw on 14 MHz because of band conds. Antenna vertical dipoles hanging beside the LH construction, shack in the lantern, supply 12 V by solarpowered LH based accus. On ILLW 2008 we operated LH "Robbenplate" (i. e. "the sand of the seals") with about 200 QSOs. (photo) On ILLW 2009 Greg and Uwe were lucky again to be on LH "Hoheweg" DE076/FED108 with 400 QSOs on 20 (mostly cw) and 40 (mostly ssb). From 11 to 17 July 2010 DL1BFE operated DA0L on LH "Rotersand" FED-19 again on 20 and 40 m. 180 QSOs in cw mostly on 14 MHz because of band conds. Antenna vertical dipoles hanging beside the LH construction, shack in the lantern, pwr 20 W, supply 12 V by solarpowered LH based accus. http://www.rotersand.de/lt-rs.html For ILLW 2010 we did not reach LH Alte Weser because of rough sea. We are on LH Robbenplate again (DE#0058) and hope to contact you. ILLW 2011: DL3BJ and DL1BFE hoped to reach Rotesand LH (DE#0095). Rotesand is far outside the Frisian Islands chain, South of Heligoland Island.
Today August 16th, we know that we can't get a tender to go to Rotersand. We hope to meet you! DX mostly on 20 m cw around 14025 kHz, SSB mostly on 40 m. As ILLW is NOT a contest, DA0L is NOT a contest station but likes fine ham radio. Last modified: 2011-08-16 19:33:38, 2372 bytes cached
