*** Lightship Amrumbank " Deutsche Bucht " ***Determined to secure the navigation, the Lightship " Deutsche Bucht " was built from 1914 to 1918 by Jos. Meyer shipyard n Papenburg, NW-Germany. Haring fullfilled it´s task, it was set off duty in 1983. Still able to work, it is a museum lightship with the DARC-Clubstation " DF0MF " on board in the center of the old harbourtown Emden.With a restaurant, a wedding-room and the Clubstation of the local Amateur-Radio Club is this a interesting meeting point for many kind people. A special Event is the International Lighthouse/ Lightship Day from August,17 -19 2002. We will be active on all HF Bands. Every contact is valid for the Lightvessel Award. The Lightship Amrumbank is also valid for the ARLHS-Award, the number is FED-012/ DE0059.
