Licenced in July 1981 in Munich, the capital of Bavaria with first call DL5MBR. But then I had to leave Munich for the job to Schleswig not far from the Danish border for two years.

Since 1983 I live in Braunschweig with different qth's in the city, everytime other antennas, sometimes only with homemade magnetic loops or dipoles.

My equipment now is an ICOM IC-756 Pro III with 100 Watts and the antenna is a longwire, about 40 meters long, endloaded over an UNUN 1:9 to transform to 50 Ohm, finally with the built-in Tuner. At this moment I can work from 160 m to 6 m.

It's not easy for me to make DX, but I try it.;-).

I do not often call CQ, but I call you, if I hear, in CW and SSB.

Changed to my present Callsign DL8OK in November2000.
