G7FEK Amateur Radio Projects

Over the last 20+ years i have enjoyed contributing to the hobbies of Electronics, Amateur Radio and Astronomy. I love to share my ideas with other people and contribute to the hobby in a positive way. My present interest focus is Propgation and Solar Astronomy (in relation to the unusual solar minimum). I have also made available one of my simple antenna designs, which has served me well over the years and takes up only a small amount of space.

80m multiband antenna for small gardens

This nested marconi antenna is suitable for use in a restricted space and takes up only 46 ft (m). It allows people with small gardens to put up a wire antenna that will work on several bands including 80 meters, a band normally not accessable to Amateurs with small gardens. The Antenna has proved very successful on 80m with transatlantic DX contacts possible.
