Please be sure to add your call to my "web contact log" above. Thanks. I was first licensed in May 1977 as WD4EVW. I upgraded from Novice to General in September of 1977, then to Advanced in September of 1978, and finally to Extra in March of 1979. I received my current call on April 7, 1979. To the best of my knowledge, it was the first 'KK' prefix in the entire world. The new call made me a hot item on HF as I was heavily pursued by prefix hunters, operators who thought I was rare DX, and operators who simply wanted a QSL card from the first 'KK' prefix in the world. Most of my operating time is spent on HF CW and digital modes such as BPSK31, RTTY, WSPR, and JT65, although I also enjoy an occasional phone contact. I live in an antenna restricted neighborhood so I am currently limited to a random wire with a remote tuner at the feed point. I QSL 100% via eQSL and LoTW. My station currently consist of the following: Icom IC-7600 Icom IC 756PROIII Ameritron AL-811H amplifier Palstar AT-Auto tuner SignaLink USB interface/soundcard Dell Optiplex 760 2.8 GHz computer Small SteppIR vertical SGC 230 tuner feeding a random wire antenna Last modified: 2012-04-22 15:59:04, 1356 bytes cached
