Hello Friend!

During January 2014 I was one of the operators of the special-event station K3Y/2 to commerate the 8th anniversary of SKCC (Straight Key Century Club). For more information or a special K3Y QSL card please search for K3Y on QRZ.com or look up skccgroup.com on the web.

Thank you for looking up my call sign. I was first licensed in 1979 but became QRT after 1986 until January of 2009 when I upgraded my license to Extra. Now I am back enjoying DXing and Contesting using CW mostly on the HF bands.

I like to rag chew using my new (old) Czech Military Key.

I have a relatively modest station consisting of an Elecraft K3 running at 100 Watts. My antenna is a KIO hex beam on my roof at about 40 feet for 20, 17,15, 12 & 10 Meters. For 80,40 and 30 Meters I use a folded dipole about 65 feet long installed as an inverted V with an apex at about 32 feet.

The hex beam has so far survived two hurricanes in the Northeast. (Irene and Sandy).

QSL policy: I appreciate receiving your QSL card and will respond by the same method you choose. Direct=Direct; Buro=Buro. In addition, I upload regularly to LotW and eQSL.

Thanks and 73, Charles, N2SO
