Click for more detail... Welcome to my QRZ lookup -- I have always been interested in RF and Amateur Radio, and was a SWL years before that. Professionally, I work as a service technician for a regional Motorola two-way radio dealer. I find myself working on the mission critical radio communications systems which keep our public at large safe.... And enjoy every minute of it! As you can imagine, working with everything from 1970's vintage MICOR's through tomorrow's P25, NexEDGE, MotoTRBO, and the variety of narrowbanding concerns -- I'm well involved in the public safety communications arena - past, present, and future! In 2008, I began collecting parts to build a 900 mhz repeater network, and deployed my first repeater in May of 2009. In late 2009, the Tri State Amateur Repeater Club was formed by myself and a few local hams to support the unified deployment of 900 mhz throughout RI, MA and CT areas! In August of 2008 I was elected President of the Associated Radio Amateurs of Southern New England (ARASNE) group in East Providence RI. The club's callsign is W1AQ. If you happen to catch me on the air, I'm sure we'll find something to talk about -- I've tried a multitude of careers - not limited to; firefighting, construction, computers, telephony and data networks, as well as hobbyist automotive projects such as "Do it yourself" Electronic Fuel Injection and Turbocharging.... I'm always wandering the RI 2m repeaters, and try to be radioactive on HF as time permits. You can often find me friday evenings working PSK31 as W1AQ. 73 de N3LEE Last modified: Sat Oct 31 07:08:10 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content? If so, Report this page... |
