I was originally licensed as KN3YUZ in 1963 and later that year upgraded to General and K3YUZ. After active duty as a Communications Technician in the Navy at Corry Field (WA4ECY) and Kami Seya, Japan (KA2KS), I moved to Hawaii and the call KH6HLT in 1970. A job transfer sent me to San Francisco in 1978 where I became N6AHA. I changed to my current vanity call, N6IE in November, 2006.

For most of the past 40 years, I have worked in the broadcasting business as both an air personality and an engineer. Currently, I am a partner in a company that has ownership interests in 20 radio stations in Northern California, although now I deal almost entirely with engineering matters.

My home is in Sonoma County California with my wife and two children, and I especially enjoy QSO's with fellow broadcasters and anyone else interested in broadcasting, as well as former Navy CT's.

In January, 2010, I became president of the Redwood Empire DX Assn. (REDXA) and I want to invite DX'ers in the Bay Area to join our meetings! Check out our web page at www.REDXA.com.
