I received my first ticket in New Jersey in 1957. I had the call WV2ECZ. I have stayed active in electronics and SWLing since then, but didn't keep my ticket. I got interested again a few years ago, and decided to do it again in Canada, getting my Basic qualification and then my Tech and General in the US (KD7IGX). Next I upgraded to the Canadian Advanced and US Extra (WV2J). I am very interested in 1960's technology and have started restoring two Gonsicators for the local radio museum. I am particularly interested in the Magic Band, VHF SSB QRP, bike-mobile and mountain-topping operations and APRS. Current rigs an Elecraft K2, Icom 703 and 745, Ranger 5054, and Kenwood TR-9130 and D7, and Mizuho, Nishi and THP HTs. Last modified: 2011-01-22 05:10:40, 764 bytes cached
