GREETINGS FROM SPOKANE WASHINGTON. I got my first taste of amateur radio as a kid back in the early 1970's, my father got me interested in radio as a way to channel to my energies in a more positive direction. He got his amateur license in 1916 when it was issued by the Department of Commerce. His callsign was 7CA. He built one of the first AM broadcast receivers in Spokane which was a big influence on my Uncle and his brother Bing Crosby in shaping his career.

I was off the air for 20 years as girls, cars, college, etc. took over my interest but got back into amateur radio in 1996 and have been having a great time since. I enjoy DX chasing and ragchewing on 20, 17, 15 meter phone. I have recently been spending alot of time on 20, 30, and 40 meter CW. My favorite aspect of amateur radio is meeting and making new friends all around the globe. I recently just moved from 10 acres in the country to a small city lot. So much for the large antenna farm I had! My HF working conditions are:

RIGS: Yaesu FT 1000D(DX and CW rig), Kenwood TS 870S(Audio rig), Kenwood TS 2000(PSK31,VHF and UHF rig); AMPLIFIERS: Alpha 87A , Henry 3k Classic; AUDIO RACK: Audix CX 101 condenser mic, RCA 77DX, Symetrix 528E Voice processor, Symetrix 551E Parametric Equalizer, Alesis 12R mixer, Yamaha REV 100 Reverb, Aphex 104 Aural Exciter. ANTENNAS: 40 meter dipole at 50 feet fed with ladder line. (Not quite like the four towers with monobanders I had at the old QTH) I also have another small station (Icom 706 MkIIG with an AH4) at my condo at Schweitzer Mountain Resort where I spend 100+ days a year alpine and telemark skiing. If I am not on the air you can usually find me skiing, windsurfing, mountain biking, or hacking up the golf course. See you on the bands and if you hear me give me a call! 73 & Good DX.
