WSPR - (05 Feb 2015) currently testing an Ultimate3s kitset from QRP-Labs (but without the GPS connected for the moment).  0.1W on 20m into a 4 element wire colinear (similar to a "Lazy-H" but with 5/8 WL elements), beaming SW/NE.  The top wires are at 18mH (60 ft).  TX only.

(06 Feb 2015) GPS unit added to the Ultimate3s WSPR transmitter.  Changed the antenna to a sloping wire Vee Beam pointing SE/NW.

QSLing - I do not collect cards or awards myself but will reply to QSLs received direct with a self addressed envelope (big enough for a 6"x4" photo-card please) and US$3 for return postage. IRCs are not accepted because the 'postal agency' in our small town is reluctant to exchange them.

OQRS - To save the time, effort and stamp to send me a card I don't need, consider using PayPal to send the US$3 for return postage.  My account there is my normal e-mail address as can be found above.  Please use the I'm sending money to family or friends option and enter the QSO details and your address in the note to recipient section (if no address is entered I will assume your QRZ.com listing address is OK and use that).  I will acknowledge by e-mail when the QSL has been posted.

Either way, you are welcome to e-mail first to check the QSO is in the log.

I have log books and QSL cards for:

  • 3D2RS - Fiji (2010)
  • 4L/ZL1RS - Georgia (2000-02)
