SPECIAL CALL for the Millenary of Exarchic Abbey of St. Mary of Grottaferrata - S.Nilo

The italo-byzantine Monastery of St. Mary of Grottaferrata, 20 kil. from Rome, was founded by St. Nilus of Rossano on 1004 fifty years before the division between the Roman Catholic and the Orthodox Church. This Byzantine Monastery witnesses with its continuing prayers, kept form almost thousand years, the unity of the Church in its several traditions of spirituality and culture. It is a place of meeting and dialogue between East and West, open to any people who desire to live, to think about and to go deep into the spirituality of Byzantium.
