K1ZD was operated by K1CC, K1ZZ and KA1ZD in the 2012 IARU HF World Championship from Wrentham, MA (Grid FN42ib) to test a potential location for the 2014 World Radiosport Team Championship. We operated two transmitters under the WRTC rules, so we did not submit a competitive entry for the IARU contest. The station was set up temporarily and consisted of two 100-watt transceivers powered by a generator. The antennas were a small tribander and inverted vees for 40 and 80 meters on a 40-foot tower. If you worked us, thanks for the QSO(s)!

Rich, K1CC has prepared a nice description of our operation at http://konecc.wix.com/2012-wrtc-k1zd

In 2013 we did the same thing from a location about 200 meters away from the previous year's.The operators were K1CC, K1ZZ and K0TG. Thanks to the outstanding Beam Team who set up and removed our antennas!
