The original 6m beacon was build in 1984 byOZ2OE

Originally the 6m beacon was placed on the northeast coast of Greenland in locator IQ06, but was later moved in 1996 to Qaqortoq on the southwest coast in GP60.

Today the beacon are placed in grid GP80(Prins Christians sund) who is located 10KM from Kap Farvel the southes point in Greenland. However the keyer has not been change som CWID is still GP60.

QRG 50.045 MHz output 20W to a dipole

In 2009 the OX3VHF beacon was upgrade with a 50W 2m beacon
