Just a quick update, at present my station is still not setup which includes the Nally Tower. Hopefully I will mange an 80 meter Dipole very soon. Plans have been submitted to Casey Council for the Tower installation.
Special thanks to Russell, as I thought it wouldn't have taken this long!

Hello and Welcome to the Official Amateur Radio Station of the Astronomical Society of Victoria Outreach. For 20 years the station has been manned by Russell Ward - VK3DRW a member of ASV and has become familiar voice to the many stations that call in regularly on the net that operates every Friday evening at 22:00 EST on 3541KHz LSB.
Recently Russell handed the Microphone over to Clint Jeffrey - VK3CSJ of Dandenong in Melbourne, Clint is a member of ASV and is the current Section Director of the Radio Astronomy Section and has been involved in activities since 1994.
This is the Link to the Leon Mow Dark Sky Radio Observatory LMRO,
Please call in at 22:00 Hours EDST or 11:00 UTC (10:00pm local), from there for about 45 minutes I present News and Updates about things that are Astronomical in nature I then open up for signal reports and comments and general chat.
Please any Signal Reports from Shortwave Listeners or other Stations or feedback about the Outreach Sessions write email to vk3ekh@bigpond.com
A recent addition to the station, as of Jan 2011, is the Heil PR-40 Studio Microphone and a W2IHY 8 Band Eq and EQplus device to enchance the on air signal, so connect up a Hi Fi speaker to your receiver and open your IF Shift to super wide and enjoy Hi Fi SSB audio!
The Transmitter is a Kenwood TS2000 running 100 Watts input to a Yaesu FL2100Z Linear to an Inverted V Dipole suspended 13 meters above the ground at the Apex, the Linear is running at reduced Plate Voltage which ensures a power output of up to 400 Watts is maintained.
Many thanks
