Ascom SE 550
I use this radio for the 2m band, it was originally a vhf radio for bus to bus comms.
This radio came out of a water service van originally. Now converted for 4m.
This is my main radio for HF. I work 40m to 10m on this. Great radio for its age.
I use this radio for HF sometimes but mostly its sitting on 6m. Nice radio to operate
Great little tuner with memory storage. Tunes well in line with the linear.
This is the best SWR/ wattmeter i have ever used. Well built and easy to operate QRO.
I am member of Antrim District Amateur Radio Society (ADARS), and have been a member since 2012.The club meets every 2nd friday of the month and the callsign is MN0GFE.
I live in the town of Antrim, on the shores of Lough Neagh, the largest fresh water lake in the UK.
Outside of Amateur Radio i repair cars and am into mechanical engineering.
I got my foundation callsign via ADARS on March 2012, but in Jul 2015 I passed the intermediate exam via the Greenisland Electronics & Amateur Radio Society
I only use eQSL as a confirmation method - No paper QSL cards from me. I do not collect them.
I operate from 80m to 10m and 6m to 2m. I used PSK and SSB on the HF bands, and D-STAR and FM on the VHF bands.
Please do NOT send me money for QSL cards, as i dont participate in paper card exchanges
