Hi My name is Chris and I am retired since 2010.

I always had an interest in SWL and I was a registered RSGB listener etc, as a youngster but it was only(2011) that I took my Foundation Licence. On the 4th September 2011 I took my Intermediate exam and passed.

Hi just a quick update.I am now the club secretary for CADARS Cwmbran and District Amateur Radio Society, (type inMC0YAD.club, for internet site.) Club meetings held at 19.00 hours Wednesday evening at Henllys Village Hall, Cwmbran. The club members tend to monitor GB3RT 433.00 MHz FM or 145.350 MHz.

I am now also using D star and you can find me most days on DCS005B. My main D Star access is via Red DVAP. I also use echolink when away from home to keep in contact, I find this an excellent solution for keeping contact without relying on HF bands. Cwmbran and District Amateur Radio Society now have a 70 cm repeater up and running, GB3RT, which has been, and still is a Club project. It is a Yaesu Fusion repeater but at this time it has only got a Nov for analogue Tx.

I am also using All star UK Hubnet either via GB3WB or GB3WE you can also access it on Echolink M0HOY-L.

GB3RT repeater is only available using annalogue fm but it is now connected to Echolink and is available to access on your mobile phone or computer via the internet/wifi.

Thats all for now folks and thanks for looking me up.

You can also email me on my main email address which is chris.hodgetts@ntlworld.com
