Greetings All- I am formerly WA2TMD of Nassau county, Long Island ,NY. Then I was AA5PB in Austin...and Now AB5N. I ran the 442.15 and 1292.3 repeaters at the University of Texas.

I've retired to the "Spa City" - Hot Springs, Arkansas.

And yes, I am the guy doing the Icom and Elecraft microphone mods to improve audio performance. Check out:   WWW.AB5N.COM for details/parts kits.

I also do solar power installer training. www.greenpowervideos.com

Check out my new Solar-Powered FM station project:  www.KUHSradio.org

Our beautiful city of Hot Springs is a vacation spot. We have 47 hot springs coming out at 143F. The water is perfectly clean and it is all we drink. We fill our jugs downtown at various springs filling stations. In the Winter we soak at the spas. Lake Ouachita is nearby and has 200 islands and 1000 miles of coastline. Our city was the original Las Vegas and still has the gambling, horse races and "associated activities".

Arlington Hotel downtown.... where Bill Clinton took his girlfriends!

Bathouse Row...9 beautifully restored bathouses with a brewpub, art museum and of course thermal baths!

Inside the Quapaw spa on Bath house row.

An open spring cascading into collection pools on bath house row.

Lake Ouachita... 26 miles long - sits on top of the largest quartz crystal deposit in the US... extremely clean water.

The "ritual" of filling your jugs. Watch your hands... it's very hot! The water fell as rain during
the time of the Egyptians...takes 4000+ years to recirculate to these springs.
