Dear YL or OM,

thank you for visiting my bio in qrz.com.

I am a radio amateur since 1990 and own the callsign DC9AM from the beginning. I made my amateur radio examination in GOETTINGEN, which is in lower saxonia. Later I moved to HAMBURG and then to AHRENSBURG. Since September 2003 I am living in GROSSHANSDORF in Northern Germany, very close to the baltic sea. The locator of my home QTH is JO53DP.

When I started with amateur radio, I concentrated on the VHF and UHF bands and worked mainly in SSB. I participated a lot in contests. Besides this I were interested in Packet Radio.

Since August 2003 I am allowed to operate on HF bands, too. As I learned CW in the german army (long time ago), it was easy to get myself familiar with CW again. So now I am prefering CW, but of course sometimes I am operating SSB, too.

My equipment for HF is a Kenwood TS-570DG and a 42 mtrs long dipole. On VHF/UHF I am using a Yaesu FT-736R. For CW I am using a original Junkers key, an ETM-5c and the Bencher BY-2.

Hope to see you on the bands. Best 73, 55 es gd dx.
