My DARC-DOK: A14, Distrikt Baden, on top of the BLACK FOREST in SW-Germany

Hello friends,

as I started amateur radio activities in 1962, only CW was possible because of a self made tx with eco and pa (2E22). RX was a modified broadcasting radio with BFO and a band spread variable capacitor. Later on I build a additional AM-modulator in the TX in order to modulate Grid 1, than cathode, than Grid 2 and as optimum at least anode / grid 2. This had been the time of self constructing of RX , TX , antennas and so on. Now the world changes to very complex systems and to no self made radios, but nevertheless antennas and accessories. Ham radio is my first hobby, especially now as I got retired and spend my time by contacting friends around the world. Professional needs moved my family and myself 1974 from Duisburg to Villingen in the black forest in SW Germany. Now I own a house with garden and antenna tower nearby Villingen in a small village named Moenchweiler. Over some years I lead the DARC OV A14 and had been speaker of the DARC news broadcasting on 145 mc and 439 mc simultaneously over about 30 years. In order to work on Short Wave I use my ICOM 7300 trx or the old ICOM 775 DSP or a FlexRadio System FLEX 3000 (100W) sometimes together  with the PA Expert 1K (maximum of PWR 1kW).

Excuse my bad english, I hope you understand what I mean.
With best regards of your friend Harald, DJ8RP
