After getting interested in CB at the young age of 12 I soon progressed onto amateur radio I was first first licensed as G7LMA around 1990 then progressed to class A after successfully passing the 12wpm morse requirement in 1994 and my callsign changed to G0URK. I have been a Nokia cellular radio network engineer for many years and am working currently in a network management centre where I have been for the last 9 years. My experience/expertise centers around the operation and maintenance of the radio network naturally. Current homebase setup is an Icom IC-7300 for HF connected to a Hustler 5-BTV with Ameritron AL-811 Linear Amplifier in line, for audio I am sporting a Heil HM-IC and also in the shack an Icom IC-7100 for V/UHF connected to a Diamond V2000 . I also have an FT-817 and am running MB6CE a D-Star node at home. I have an IC-92 with GPS mike for my travels and an ID-51E 50th Edition for D-Star monitoring and I also have a ID-5100 deluxe for use in the car and an FT-450D for /P. Along with 3 x Baofeng's, the list grows....
