I past my RAE in December 1981 at Mid-kent College of Higher and Further Education

Interests include hf, vhf and uhf operating, D-STAR, photography, computing, internet and Ice Skaking. (Strange mix Don't you think HaHa)

I have been a licenced amateur since April 1982. that year there was a big backlog so there was over 4 month wait to get on the air.

 

I was awarded the call sign G6HIV and at the time hiv wasn’t associated with any diseases,

and I’d just like to say I have heard ALL the comments, hi hi

I am a member of the medway amateur receiving and transmitting society, "the marts". The club callsigns are g2fja, g8mw and g5mw

I am active on 40, 20, 17, 15, 10, 6, 2 and 70cm bands.

                                                                   

 

My station consists of a Icom ic-7000, 2 x Icom ic-e2820 (1 Mobile 1 indoors), Icomic-e92d handheld, LDG Z-11 Pro tuner and lots of other bits to numerous to mention.

I've been on D-STAR since Januray 2009 when I got my first IC-E2820

New toy for 2013 a Raspberry Pi runing my DVAP D-STAR dongle.

 

Connected to the internet with a WiFi USB that is so small you can't see it under the USB plug.

(A MiFi device connects to a mobile phone(cellular) carrier and provide internet access for up to 5 devices.)
