I have been licensed since 1980, first as GW8XXH. I then passed the cw test and got GW4OZU in 1982. I have been an electronic/electrical technician most of my working life, having been trained by PHILIPS at their service HQ in Croydon, South London, where I worked for eight years before moving to Pembrokeshire. My interest in radio started when I was about 5 years old as my Father & Uncle owned WEST END RADIO ltd at 14, LISLE STREET in the west end of London. When I was there I spent much of the time playing with ex wwII radios. I like all aspects of the hobby and I`m now enjoying Dstar with a DV4Mini and Icoms 7100, ID 5100 and ID51E as well as the new digital modes on HF. I have never been much good at CW. Amateur radio still totally fascinates me and I`m really looking forward to retirement when I will be able to spend more time on the air.
Other hobbies are photography, rock music, motor cycles and relaxing.
Please Note, I DO NOT trade equipment on the Internet.
