National Parks On the Air!
Putting together information on my solar setup
We just moved to Salem MO out into the country where my atennas can free range.
The shack is not completely together so pictures are on the todo.
I normaly operate my Yaesu FTdx 1200 on HF you can find me on 80 and 40 for now. I try to check into the Breakfast Club on 3.973 as much as I can. For UHF/VHF operation I run a ICOM 7100 as a DStar base station as we have a lot of simplex activity on 165.670 in the Salem/Rolla area. I have several AnyTone and UV-5R(s) to fill in the gaps around the QTH.
Mobile we run a ICOM 5100 and when Traveling I love my ID-51 50th Anniversary edition!
For portable operation I am a big fan of QRP, on weekends wither portable or mobile you can catch me on HF QRP using my FT-817 and a selction of tuned mono band antennas.
Since I am on the road much for my work I have put together a portable DVAP+RasberryPi setup in a pelican 1050 case. I will try to post pictures and parts that I use for the kit as I feel its been pretty optimized and other Hams might enjoy a "kit" style list of parts to assemble.
73 for now and thanks for stopping by!
