When you call a station, you should make sure he gets your callsign at first call.

It causes unneccessary time/effort having to ask for repeats.  therefore:

Spring 2013, we moved into our new QTH located right next to the North Sea shore at Lista, in SW Norway.

Below are a couple of pictures of XYL and myself walking the dogs on the beach - in windy WX.

Here's our wooden house, built in 2009.

The garage and where I'm just setting up my new shack in an almost purpose built room with good window to the back garden.

Antennas are an Optibeam OBW10-5 wire beam at 11m over the ground. It covers 10/12/15/17/20m bands. A FD-4 Windom covers 80/40m & more. The Optibeam is on a 9m Mini-XL tower from Hummelmasten.de

The main HF rig is a FLEX-6300 with a SPE Expert 1k-fa Power Amp to give a little extra - when needed.I also have an IC-7100 HF/VHF/UHF in the shack that are used when running remote operations using Icom's RS-BA1 software. It operates all HF bands + 2m/70cms on a VHF/UHF vertical.

I enjoy a good rag chew on CW. I enjoy using my Vibroplex "Blue Racer DeLuxe" bug, made in 1956. It's almost my age (I'm born in 1954). Also use a nice dual paddle, type CT EUROPE with the internal keyer in IC-7600.

During spring/summer I spend as much time as possible on our 38 foot sailboat, "Ocean Viking" - callsign: LK6534. Its moored in the little town of Farsund - 10 minutes from my QTH.

Rig there is an ICOM IC-706MK2G connected to a LW hanging from the mast and tuned with an ICOM AH-3 tuner.
Also equipped with a Pactor modem used mainly for E-mails via the Winlink2000 system.

The video below was filmed in July 2011, sailing from OZ to SM. Sorry for the poor quality (used my cellphone.)

I earn my living on an oil/gas production field in the North Sea (In locator JO08wi).

When time, I get on the air on HF/VHF/UHF from there. Usually at night time Z.

Here's a video of a helicopter doing fly-passes and finally landing on the helideck.
