Thor Ivar is my name, LBØKG is the callsign.

I got my licence in may 2015, so I`m rather new.

My primary QTH is at a small place called Rykkinn, just 15km west of Oslo, the capitol of Norway.

I am married and have a son.

I love hunting, hiking, trips with my boat and to my cabin and I combine this with radio

Home, primary QTH.

At the moment I run a IC-7100 as primary, with a folded dipol antenna and a X-300 for 2M/70 cm.

I use a FT-7800 with a X-50 antenna for local. I also have a TYT 390 handheld DMR. Our Group have a DMR-repeater LA1KRR locatet at Kolsås.

I am planning on building a new desk so I can use my limited space more efficient. Always nice to have a project running, and I have found out that this is not a problem with our hobby, they will come - endlessly...

By the way, I am a huge Springsteen fan, as you might see.

In my car I use a FT-857D, primary on 2m/70Cm and repeaters, but also for HF

The Cabin.

This is my cabin in the mountain area called Valdres.

.

I  use a old IC 77 (707) as primary HF, with a AH-3 tuner and a longwire antenna.

I  also have a X300 antenna for 2M/ 70cm, hooked to a old IC 1010.

It runs 2M only and I reach some repeaters, but this is on the edge.

There is no power here, so I use a solar panel to charge the battery.

I also use my Yaesu 817 ND  as QRP / secondary HF here. Wery nice to have on hikes..

QRP..

I have grown quite fond of QRP.

Some QRP QTH`s

From Håøya,  in the middle of the Oslo fjord.

And close to my home, Eineåsen, facing south against the Oslo Fjord.

The Outdoors, Lakes, Forest and Mountains is close to my heart.

Places like this is not the worst QTH to be found. A wery good way to combine hobbies...

SOTA summit in Valdres, Norway LA/OL-166, Bjørgovarden - 1138m,

And this is what my QRP Rig looks like at the moment: Total weight. 4,8kg

10m mast from Sotabeam, FT817ND, Tuner, a small 20w amp, 14Ah battery, a end fed 16meter longvire wit a 9:blaun. I use the coax for counterpoise.

I also have homebrew 2M/70cm antenna in this kit.
